Publish Wizard

The Publish Wizard, available from the Environment menu, publishes project files to a remote server or local directory structure.

The Publish Wizard can publish single or multiple documents in a project.  It can also determine which documents have been modified since they were last published and will publish only those, if desired.  There are two modes of operation: local and remote publishing. When publishing locally, the wizard places all the files within the specified local directory structure. When publishing remotely, the wizard connects to an FTP site, uploads the documents, and disconnects - all completely automatically.

Publish Wizard Configuration

In this first step, you indicate whether to publish remotely or locally and the location of which to publish.  You also can indicate whether you only want to publish the modified files since they were last published.  Press the Next button to load the project files that meet the criteria you set.

Files to Publish

In the next step, Files to Publish, you indicate the files to publish by selecting them.  You can use to Select All and Select None buttons to aid in selection.  You can also press the Ctrl key while clicking to select/deselect one file or the Shift key while clicking to select/deselect multiple files. Pressing the Next button begins the publishing process.

Publishing Progress

Spider Writer displays the progress of the publishing progress and notifies you when publishing is complete.  Press the Finish button after the wizard has completed to save your publish settings.
